One of the standout features of Osusumeya Chibaten is its inviting ambiance. Diners can enjoy their meals sitting on traditional drums while taking advantage of the convenience of ordering via tablet. While the dishes may not be high-end, the energetic vibe pervading the izakaya adds to the overall experience. Customers like Sander van Vliet appreciate how perfectly Sapporo beer pairs with the assortment of fried snacks, enhancing the enjoyment of the meal. For anyone looking for a lively scene filled with young, enthusiastic patrons, this spot is sure to deliver.
The reviews highlight the izakaya's affordability and appealing social atmosphere but have also noted some areas for improvement. The menu may lack variety for some; smaller dish sizes necessitate ordering multiple items to fully satisfy your appetite. While some diners have found the service to be inconsistent, others revel in the lively chaos that defines the izakaya experience. You’ll find plenty of opportunities for conversation, though the noise level can certainly rise as the night goes on.
In essence, Osusumeya Chibaten is a treasure trove for those seeking quality food and a lively atmosphere without the hefty price tag. Whether you are visiting for a casual outing with friends or a night of fun-filled culinary exploration, this izakaya captures the heart of Japan's vibrant dining culture. Come for the food, stay for the ambiance, and leave with memories worth savoring.
“ Great food, for a small price in a lively and low key izakaya. The setting in this izakaya is easy going with drums to sit on and a tablet to order tour food. The options available are not really high end, but that has to do that you have an all you can eat and drink menu for only ¥2000 per person. A bargain if you ask me! The menu includes different types of salads and vegetables, lots of chicken dishes, fried fish but also sashimi and even prepared hot pot meals. They have different versions, but the vegetables inside are very welcome with all of the fried snacks. The Sapporo beer is great in combination with all kinds of fried snacks. An reservation is easily made via their website. I'll come back! ”
“ Good deal for all one can drink and eat for 2 hours (2500 yen) or 3 hours (3300 yen). The food is just okay, convenient to have lemon sour machine at each table. The service is inconsistent and sometimes when drinks are ordered they do not come out. The online ordering system can be a bit annoying, especially if one speaks English as it keeps reverting back to Japanese. Also does get very loud, all the tables are close together and mainly younger people hang out here. ”
